Last year, the WHO, IFRC and UNICEF reviewed and updated the
Essential Medicine Manual based on the most recent WHO
Formulary. The translation was administered by the WHO. The
three agencies greed to print 30,000 copies, with each agency
paying for 10,000 copies. The printing was accomplished by
January 2004. IFRC and UNICEF will distribute the manuals in
their usual "designated" areas.

distribution of medicine kits and is expected to be completed
by April 2004.
